Horning Richeson Wedding | Athens, TN Wedding Photographer

I’ve known Stephanie for a long time.  Her older sister, Kimberly, and I went all through school together. A loyal follower of my work she said she knew when Jerrod proposed that she wanted me to shoot their wedding. This makes me exceedingly happy!

Knowing that a couple’s wedding photography is priority #1 makes this photographer elated! As she said at the Athens Daily Post Athenian Bridal Fair this year “it’s how I’m going to remember the day, because I only want the best…OK, and I want that album!” LOL! While I’m far from the best, she’s a woman who knows what she wants, and made it happen…that rocks my face off EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!

It was supposed to rain the day of their outdoor, backyard affair, but the Lord showed favor and kept the rain away! They held it in the backyard of some friend’s, and it’s one of the coolest backyards I think I’ve seen.  The gazebo/pergola area where they ceremony was held quickly had my attention…it was covered in vines…and twinkle lights! SCORE!  The pool made for some seriously entertaining shots as well 😉 Two words can describe this bridal party…they know how to “SELL IT!”

The bridemaids I knew would be a rockin’ crew when I walked in to the Bridal suit because I remember most of them from school as well, and the groomsmen didn’t disappoint either.  When a groomsmen says “HEY, can we do that pose…you know…where we pick him up?” or “HEY, GET THIS!” you know you’re in for a good time…and you have your camera ready.

I had a blast shooting this fun loving, party rocking, crew; dancing while shooting at the reception, and then later playing DJ when the party moved inside to the homeowner’s “man cave”.  They danced into the wee hours of the morning, but I finally tapped out around 12am. Here’s to the Richesons!  It was my absolute privilege to shoot you all.  May you live happily ever after!
