In all the years I’ve been in the Wedding industry there’s a lot that I’ve learned. Something that had never really “clicked” until I got the call from Jordan about shooting her and Alex’s wedding was that engagement sessions are GREAT “thermometers” to see if you’re really going to jive with your photographer. I’ll spare all of the details, but this was their second engagement shoot. The first images left them with a bad taste in their mouth, but as the groom said “at least we found out BEFORE we let them shoot the wedding!” (To prevent most, if not all, of the bad experiences these sweet lovebirds had to face check out my previous blog post on choosing a wedding photographer)
We headed to Jordan’s family home in Athens, and the beautiful, late spring, afternoon left us with PERFECT weather, light, and GORGEOUS Spring blossoms. I had a blast being escorted here and there on the RTV, and got my first taste of watching someone actually crawl over a rock! “Love on the rocks” has a new literal meaning with these two 😉
Jordan’s dogs followed right along suit…orange ball in tow…and of course made their super cute portrait debuts! I love their outdoorsy spirit, and watching them together for the first real time it’s plain to see why these two were brought together!
I can’t wait until their wedding day. It’s sure to be amazing, and one to definitely write home about! Here’s to Jordan+Alex! It may not have been easy how we were brought together, but I’m thankful we were!
