I met Parker (Brian’s last name…but we call him Parker…or P Diddy Ha!) in my old Young Professionals Sunday School Class in Murfreesboro, probably 6 or 7 years ago! Wow how time flies!
There’s was a match made in Heaven brought together via the internet. When he first told us about her he was telling us how she drove all the way out to his house and brought him a homemade pumpkin pie! (Atta girl Liz!! đ )
I had already moved back home to East TN for a couple of years before they met, so the rest of the gang got to meet her before I did..the reports were gooood! She could play Spades (our card game of choice), she could cook, and she was cool!
I still remember the first time I met Parker’s “boo” (we razzed him because he’s so much country, but calling her “boo” just fit somehow! HAHA) …and knew she was a keeper!
We were all going out for some Boot Scootin’ in Nashville, and we met for dinner at Rafferty’s. She was decked out in blue jeans, and a plaid shirt…ready to get her line dance ON! We had a fun time talking, and she scored points because she kept up with this insane crew! We then loaded up and headed downtown to Wild Horse Saloon (one of my all time favotire places in Nashvegas!). She was right out there on the dance floor, and she had moves! Pretty sure I high fived Parker, and told him “Good job!” LOL!
It was like I’d known her forever…she may not have felt that way, but I did, and I knew then that she’d be Parker’s “boo” forever. It was something in the way he looked at her, the way she just literally fit right into his life, and he into hers.
Fast forward to Spring this year, and I got a call from “P Diddy” AND a Facebook message from Liz…they wanted me to shoot their wedding! HECK YES! I was ecstatic!
We decided to do them downtown Nashville…because really is there any cooler place? So we started off at Centennial Park around the pond, then meandered our way downtown. We took a dinner break, and they introduced me to the most amazing pizza I’ve ever eaten… Desano’s Pizza Bakery…you REALLY must eat there! After our bellies were full we walked it off on the Pedestrian Bridge, and just happened to catch the Fireworks after the season opener of the Nashville Sounds game! I don’t know if seeing fireworks ever really happens when two people kiss…but this night they did đ
There’s not much that surpasses the Nashville skyline lit up at night by all the lights, OR the bridge at night for that matter. We definitely ended on a super HIGH note…dancing to Journey being blasted from a boat below. It’s so clearly evident that God designed these two just for each other, and I absolutely LOVED that they chose me to capture this moment in their lives!
Here’s to Brian + Liz, and their wedding this Fall! Love you’s guys!
