I knew the moment I met Samantha at the Whitestone Bridal Fair in March that we’d be working together for their big day!
They’re getting married next weekend at one of my favorite wedding venues…Whitestone Country Inn, and I’m excited to get to capture their big day!
It was clear the moment I first met them together at Starbucks just how much in love they are. Marty is certainly smitten with her, and she with him!
We decided on starting where Marty proposed…Chickamauga Battlefield. He’s a huge history buff, so it was fitting we start in one of their favorite places. I’d never been, and I love history too, so it was a fantastic way to get to know more about them.
My favorite spot was definitely the lookout tower which he pointed out the bullet holes in the limestone blocks from the battle. Fittingly enough when I took her engagement ring and tried to lay it inside it fit perfectly! It sprinkled on and off on us, but it didn’t dampen their spirits! They both have the warmest smiles, and when they look at each other it’s as if the light can’t be contained…it just over flows to anyone who’s around!
We headed from the battlefield in to downtown Chattanooga for a wardrobe change and the second part of their session. If you’ve never been you must visit this city between the mountains and the river! Ben and Jerry’s Ice cream was first on the agenda for a shared cone which is always photographic gold.
We walked around the Chattanooga Aquarium and then down to the water front fountains…probably one of my favorite places there. Coolidge Park was next on the agenda for the carousel, but it’d closed just 5 minutes before we arrived…so the fountains served as a fun back up plan.
Watching Marty and Samantha’s love for each other behind my lens was truly a treasure and an honor. I love getting to capture emotion…Extraordinary | Real | LIFE…as it happens, and these two lovebirds certainly gave me plenty of wonderful, real, emotion!
Here’s to Samantha & Marty! Looking so forward to your big day!!
