This extraordinary wedding will be one I’ll remember for.ev.er! Black Fox Farms in Cleveland, TN is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Wedding venues…ever. The weather, though hot, was gorgeous, and proved for killer light on wedding day.
If you asked me for one word to describe this precious couple I’d say Perseverance. That’s the one word I think of when I think of Brittany and Andrew.
Brittany had surgery again on her spine about 2 years ago to remove tumors…they told her she may never walk again or without help of a walker. She’s not only walking on her own, she just graduated Belmont University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. This gal is a serious inspiration, and determined, that’s just another reason I simply love her! She’s not only a Bride, she’s a friend!
By her side through it all has been her loving and devoted then fiance, now husband, Andrew. A successful local lawyer with a heart of gold, who’d give her the universe if he could. If ever there was a love that can withstand anything, it’s theirs. Watching them together is something sincerely special…and a testament to how true love should and can be. Never failing. Forget Johnny and June…you want a love like Drew and Brittany. They’ve been through more in their dating and engagement years than most couples experience in a lifetime, and it’s only made them stronger…you can see it…you can feel it. For this single photo gal it’s a testament that the real deal is worth never settling for.
Watching her walk down to him on their wedding day reminded me of something she’d said last year when we started talking about their day. She said “I told myself I’d walk again. I’m going to walk down the aisle on my wedding day.” And that she did….GLOWING….RADIANT, right to the love her life who was shedding a few tears that just seemed to magnify the smile plastered on his face. I grinned behind the camera at the beautiful blessing I was witnessing. Perseverance!
Andrew and Brittany chose a crew of some of the best maids and men I’ve ever seen…and I’ve seen a lot! From the groom’s dad who caused many hysterical fits of laughter messing with the boys his son grew up with, to the dance moves and “Dirty Dancing” remake, and even the “dabbing” of sweat on the hot late Summer day…groomsmen of the year right here folks! The pretty maids weren’t to be out done however. They were fun, sassy, and game for anything, with some killer dance moves of their own, and they love their girl Britt too. They picked amazing people to share their day with that’s for certain.
The day was full of fun, laughter, beauty, and too many highlights to list, but the final highlight for me came when Drew surprised his new wife as they were leaving with a firework display. I was thankfully clued in beforehand (never keep fun surprises like that from your photographer ya’ll 😉 ) so I was prepped and ready to snap my second favorite sight, snow being the first, FIREWORKS! Truly a perfect ending to a perfect day.
So, to Mr. and Mrs/Dr. Morgan I pray a lifetime of sweet happiness over you, and may it all be a smooth ride filled with laughter, smiles, and love. Thank you for letting me be a part of it all. You’re treasured friends for sure.
