If you’ve never heard of Heartwood Hall in Memphis, well, honestly you’re missing out! It’s a Wedding Photographer’s DREAM…especially one who adores historic places…like an old plantation home! I fell in love with Heartwood Hall last fall too when Natalie took me for a tour…it’s steeped in history…completely my kind of place!
I cannot say enough how much I love these two right here! Seriously! They were referred to me from my first ever Memphis wedding, and when I shot their Fall engagement in Memphis in October 2012 I knew their wedding would be a wonderful affair!
Their “Grecian” inspired dresses, Natalie’s custom cuff bracelet, her wedge Toms shoes with Etsy blinged out shoe clips, paired with the fellas decked out in tails and bow ties, well, it was my own version of Heaven! The Ivory and Silver bouquets and arrangements were a brilliant woodsy design that complimented the Ivory, Silver, and Black Wedding fantastically.
Their hand written vows had me tearing up, and though the threat of rain was strong we all prayed it away! Not a drop or rain cloud crossed the sky, though there were big puffy white ones a plenty 😉 The rain came as we were all leaving the reception…late in the evening!
The reception was full of wicked dance moves, with the Groom’s little brother leading the way, and after a sparkler send off we grabbed one last image of the couple in the limo…honeymoon bound! I can’t thank these two precious sould for allowing me to capture their love, and their new beginning together. It was truly a day I’ll never forget! Much love and happiness Mr. and Mrs. Souder!!
