Alyssa + Craig – Hixson, TN Greenway Engagement – Chattanooga Wedding Photographer

Alyssa and Craig’s Chattanooga Engagement Session took place on a GORGEOUS day out at the Hixson Greenway. I didn’t know it even existed, but I’ll definitely be back!

The Spring Bradford Pear trees were in full bloom all around the Park, and an impromptu hike led to a trapse along a small “trail” that cleared into an old rock quarry. I’m so glad they were up for an adventure too!

Younger me would’ve had that trail mastered in 1/3rd the time…and probably barefoot at that. Older me was “slightly” more cautious of my footing given the platform rubber Old Navy flip flops I’d donned not knowing just what an exciting adventure lay before us…and mostly because of the equipment I was carrying! “If I fall save the camera!” Was heard more than once 😉

I and my gear escaped unscathed…albeit a few blisters may have existed between the 3 of us, and our faulty “hiking” footwear! Ha!

I always have a marvelous time getting to know my brides and grooms to be. Watching them interact with each other tells you a LOT about the people in front of the lens, and these two simply are SMITTEN!

It’s clear Alyssa is more than the moon to his shine, or the butter to his biscuit, and she’d lovingly follow him anywhere…no matter the shoes…no really 😉 He always had his hand there to catch her, and I adored how they couldn’t stop smiling at each other when I’d ask them to act like I wasn’t there.

They’d seen a few “Sequence” Couple Pinterest images, and while I’m a “free styler” not a “copy cat” I do like to take a couple’s idea and fit it to them; thus the super awesome, yet more complex than I anticipated, sequence shot was re-created using a large bare tree that I fell in love with in an open field. For a first go at it, I’m pretty stoked with the results.

I cannot wait until their Memorial Day Weekend wedding in just a few short weeks! It’s going to be an undoubtedly FUN, FAB affair to be remembered!
