A Southern Fall Engagement session set in the historic Chickamauga Battlefield, and Downtown Chattanooga on the Walnut Street Bridge complete with perfect weather is how Krista + Raymond’s session makes my list of highlights for 2014.
I’d met with Krista prior to their session, but had only heard of Raymond and his penchant for making her laugh in our meeting. To say my clients are hand picked is putting it mildly…these two are PERFECT not only for each other, but for me!
Raymond has a knack for funny faces, and if you’ve followed here for long you know I LOVE people who make faces…because the genuine laughter and smiles they create in their session is just something you can’t manufacture.
We started out at the Chickamauga Battlefield which I’d seen in Spring before, but Fall took on a whole new beauty. Krista’s lace hi-low hem dress and boots, mixed with Raymond’s blue shirt were the PERFECT compliments to the fall colors that were johnny on the spot.
We even got to venuture up the rather dark, steep, spiral climb to the top of an old war era watch tower…the view was breathtaking….and a splendid spot for pictures 😉 Going down thankfully was much easier than up, and we just had to stop and get images with the brightest light in the tower from the stone windows.
A few more beautiful golden hour lit images, and a wardrobe change later we headed for Downtown Chattanooga. The views from the Walnut Street Bridge are always magnificient, and this evening was no different.
As the water rolled by beneath us, and the sun fell behind the mountains while the city just seemed to turn itself on with lights, Krista and Raymond just used their natural ease with each other to make a person swoon from behind her camera 😉
They both have stunning eyes that just glow, and smiles that when they look at each other tell you they were clearly made for each other.
Sometimes couples are nervous in front of the camera, and it shows…not these two…that gentle ease just flows freely from them, and it’s a joy to capture such precious love. I simply cannot wait to watch them on their wedding day, especially when he sees her for the first time! That is going to be some serious MAGIC folks! Come on Spring 😉
