Happy Birthday to this literal Miracle Babe! I cannot believe it’s been a year since he came screaming, only briefly, into the world. When Morgan first locked eyes with me on his mom’s chest just minutes post birth in that precious “Skin to Skin” private mom + dad + baby ( + Photographer 😉 ) I was wrapped…I would call him “Squishy”.
He joined his three older siblings to finally round out the Prince brood, and big brothers and big sister were immediately smitten…fights instantly ensued about who’s turn it was to hold baby brother. This little fella was instantly, immensely, loved, and the last year has shown that over and over as personality traits in baby bro brought out some precious personality traits in his older siblings.
From “Little Momma” big sis Blair, to the “Baby Giggle Machine” Hayes, and to “Protector” and safe place to land, Grady when the younger two turn him into a tug of war rope this baby boy had big purpose long before he was ever in this world.
While we celebrate Morgan it’s important to also remember that where there is one there once were two. You see he had a precious twin who went into the arms of Jesus back in the early days of his story. He or She is a part of his amazing story too, and I know someday they’ll meet and celebrate together their beautiful mother’s intuition which wound up sparing Morgan’s life.
That part of his story makes this First Birthday all the more sweet. He is the babe who almost wasn’t as even Medical Science, in all it’s “certainty”, simply do not understand that God’s plan supersedes all…especially when it comes to taking and breathing life.
Morgan has a grand purpose, and he’s already touching hearts and changing lives in so many ways that it’s exciting to see just what all the Lord has in store for him.
To celebrate we recently had a blast letting him destroy a cake, and then help “clean” himself up in my Signature “Cake Smash with A Splish Splash” First Birthday Session at their home. It’s been 7 years of doing these sessions when the weather is warm enough, they’re my most pinned images from wayyy back then on Pinterest, and this is why….there’s just TOO.MUCH.CUTENESS to be had when Baby + First Real Cake + Outdoor Bubble Baths are involved!
Now enjoy some throwback images from Pam’s gorgeous baby bump, to the day he took his first breaths, to now. It’s been a wild, crazy, stunningly beautiful, story that had a painful beginning, but God did what He does and redeemed it all when Morgan drew his first breath one whole year ago!
