If you’ve never heard of a Bridal Session, let me introduce you with Katie’s Southern Bridal Session at the STUNNING Legare Waring House Bridal Portraits in majestic Charelston, SC.
Typically on the Wedding Day there’s such a flurry of activity very few Bridal Portraits are able to be captured in the time that that DREAM Wedding Dress truly deserves.
Being extra careful with the gown, the extra time to fluffy the train and lay out the veil add up quickly when moving between beautiful backdrops to capture the beaming Bride.
I always encourage my Brides to add one to their Wedding Collection if they don’t choose one with an included session as it allows for greater variations of Portraits sporting the most elegant gown she’ll ever wear.
It works out being a perfect time when you already get you Hair and Make-Up Trials done on the same day, and have a trial bouquet made (this one was a BraskaJennea Creation 😉 ) I mean why waste that hair and make-up right?!
For Katie’s, after her and Julian’s GORGEOUS Old Sheldon Church Ruins Engagement Portraits, I KNEW we needed to do them at one of Charleston’s most stunning old Plantation Homes. Legare Waring House in the historic area known as Charlestown Landing was IT!
We made the appointment, and then on the day of Katie’s MAGNIFICENT mom surprised her with the rental of the house so she could get ready on-site! It.was.MAGIC!
My old home loving self was in HEAVEN, and the vintage furniture and room décor made for the most spectacular backdrops to capture Katie’s elegantly radiant beauty!
This curvy girl ROCKED her classic and timeless Rachel Ingram for Maggie Sottero Gown, and the addition of the lace off-shoulder jacket was the PERFECT touch!
Her mom brought along her’s and her late husband’s wedding rings for a sweet touch of sentiment, and well wishes for Katie + Julian’s future. Holding the rings her parent’s signified their love with on their wedding day in her hand was such a deeply special moment I was honored to capture.
I don’t capture memories for the here and now but for the legacies we’ll leave behind, and while I never met him I know without a doubt his legacy lives on in his wonderful wife and extraordinary children.
We were on extra alert for Alligators (thankfully none were to be spotted) by the water, despite a could of *scares* from turtles and frogs leaping into the water from the bank LOL!! We did however catch a very model-worthy Turtle perched snootily on the side of the lake. Ha!
We had a *little* fun throwing the train in front of the property’s black wrought iron gates, and ended the day among the show-stopping roses in the back of the house.
Thank you Katie, and Tamara, for rolling with my wild ideas, and choosing me to capture these once in a lifetime memories! See you all SOON as you say “I DO!” to Julian!!! 😉
xoxo, B
